“Jim repaired my tile roof due to a huge tree fallen on top of my house. The tree also did some structural damages. It was a huge mess! Jim and his crew did all the repair work both structural and also the roof, replaced all damaged tiles too! These are older tiles and Jim managed to locate the same color and style for the replacement. He supervised his crew on a daily basis either in person or by phone, very efficient and professional! “A huge tree snapped and fell on top of my house. 2 elevations on my house’s tile roof were severely damaged. There were also some structural damages too. I had a few roofing companies came out for the repair estimates, Buck’s Roofing was one of them.
Jim who is the owner of Buck’s Roofing did the estimate for the roof and structural repair. His price is very reasonable. I chose him for the job because of his excellent YP rating.
Jim personally follow through with his repair crew either on site or by phone on a daily basis. His crew is very professional and did an excellent job in the roof repair and clean up afterwards. I am totally happy with his company, his honesty and sincerity!

“We needed to replace part of our roof in order to add solar panels to it. Jim was extremely helpful and provided an estimate to replace the entire roof along with the section needed for the panels. The cost was very well priced compared to other roofers. Jim did all the work with the city and was very diligent on getting the work done quickly, he also walked me through the process and exactly what they would be doing. His crew came one day and tore off the old roof. The next day they fixed our dry rot problems and finished the roof in one day! I was very happy with the service and they have done a terrific job. Everything they stated on the estimate is the work they completed. I would suggest them to any person needing a new roof.”

“I was very happy with Jim Larsh and his crew. My roof was OK at 20 years old but I was having a solar system installed. So the solar people use Buck’s Roofing to replace the roof under their installation. Makes sense, no point in putting new solar on an old roof. I asked Jim to give me a bid to replace all the rest of the roof. The bid was very reasonable. Jim also found some problems that prior (licensed) contractors had caused, or failed to find. He showed them to me and I agreed that it needed fixing. We replaced the whole roof, fixed the problems and Jim even made a phone call and got me an additional credit with the solar company for part of the work. The roof removal crew and roof replacement crew were all very polite and efficient. Jim anticipated a couple of problems and fixed them before the building inspector had to say anything. This was a GREAT experience. I have dealt with many contractors and I have to say Jim is one of the best ever. Even the notorious Santa Cruz Co building department was pleased. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED by this homeowner. Sad he doesn’t do house painting.”

“When I bought a house in Santa Clara with a wood shake roof which needed immediate replacement, I invited quotes from many roofing contractors in the area. Jim came over, and unlike others, inspected the roof very thoroughly and promptly gave me quote which was very competitive.
He and his crew punctually turned up and did a clean job of installing the sheathing, shingles and gutter. He also kept me in the loop when unexpected things turned up which needed additional work. The crew finished the work ahead of time, and cleaned up the site (including vacuumed all debris from my driveway).
Fast forward 2 years, and I developed an issue with a smart vent on the roof. I sent an email to Jim explaining the issue was promptly contacted by Jim within no time. He came over and inspected the issue, and offered to rectify it. A member of his crew came over few days later and took care of it.
Jim could have tried to benefit from this issue, but he stood by his warranty, and made it clear he would not charge me a penny.
I am impressed by his professionalism and would recommend him to anyone who needs roof work.”

“Jim Larsh is GREAT! He re-roofed my home several years ago. Lately, I have been having a problem with squirrels getting into a very small space above my room but under the roof, an octagonal Victorian type spire roof that butts up against a normal roof, may different angles …etc. Well he crawled all over this octagonal spire (3 stories up) and found the small space between roofs where the squirrels had clawed a small hole. He did this with no charge!!! Highest recommendations!!!”

“I had several quotes and phone conversation from different contractors and none of them can committed on a start date and provided “hand waving” answers. And this is for a small residential house for a roof replacement. I called up Buck’s roofing and Jim is able to quote, answer all questions in detail, follow up calls on the exact date he promised. He took his time to explain and educate me to ensure I understand the work that he is going to perform. When the job started, he started on the date that he promised. He took care of all the permit administrative work. He constantly communicated with me on what is going on and the progress. The job was completed within the schedule promised. “I had a persistent roof leak and paid a roofer to repair it. The leak continued especially after big rains. I was frustrated after several years of leaks. I call Buck’s and Jim did an evaluation. “Jim Larsh did an excellent job on my roof. Good price. Quality, timely work. The only glitch was the installation of a sun tunnel. We have an old plaster ceiling. Some fairly large chunks fell off while he was cutting the hole in the ceiling. He had forewarned me that this might happen. I spent the better part of an evening repairing the damage so he could finish the job the next day. He did reduce the price a little for my trouble. Bottom line: Fantastic roofer, easy to talk to, average finish carpenter, reasonable cost.”
