Flat & Low-Sloped Roofs

In the past, flat or low-pitched roofs were done using tar and gravel, torchdown (modified bitumen), cap-sheet, composition roll roofing and/or foam roof. Except for foam roofing, these products required using a torch or hot tar for application. This created a potential for fire on the roof or around the property. Today, the industry is moving away from products that create a fire hazard to products that do not. Two popular products that greatly reduce or eliminate fire danger and have a long life expectancy is TPO (thermoplastic polyolefin) and PVC.
